BEGINNING BEANS & GRAINS BY CHLOE GRYSEN

This class is just what you need to begin using beans and whole grains in all your favorite recipes. Chloe will go over the importance of soaking beans and grains and how they can be easily prepared for a healthy meal. This also includes details on how this will decrease cooking time and increase available nutrients. There will be two warm breakfasts to sample as well as a chilled quinoa pudding. Recipes will also include Black Bean and Quinoa salad, Spring Greens and White Bean soup, and Chocolate Cherry Black Bean cookies. FLAVORFUL FRUIT CONTEST BY GOOD FOODS GROCERY

Join in the fun and enter your favorite fruit-inspired recipe in the Good Foods Grocery Flavorful Fruit Dish Competition. Show off your skills!! • Must enter by July 16, 2014. • All entries must include a minimum of 3 bulk ingredients. For example; herbs spices, dried fruit, sugar, nuts, etc. • All ingredients in your dish must be able to be purchased at GFG • To enter, email your recipe to events@goodfoodsgrocery.com with the bin number for each bulk item, by 7/16/14. Be sure to include your name and phone number (and a story about the dish if you’d like). • Set up begins at 3:30 Saturday, July 19, 2014. Bring your own dish display, and plenty of your fruit dish for people to sample. We will supply tasting cups and napkins. • Tasting begins at 4PM. Customers submit votes by 4:45PM. Winner announced at 5PM! The winner will receive a $50 gift card to GFG, their recipe will be featured on Facebook and become part of the Good Foods Grocery recipe database.
